I was born in New Zealand and have lived in Sydney for 13 years. I am a clinical social worker and counsellor with expertise in mental health, supporting individuals and families for almost 20 years and I LOVE IT. I would consider myself fun, an eternal optimist, passionate, and someone you can rely on. I’m a mama bear to 3 uniquely different kids who teach me so much about myself.
I’ve learnt over my many years as a counsellor that teenagers are often receptive to different ways of working than parents are, and thus I have learned to adapt to my clients whether it be a teen or parenting session. My passion for counselling and personal development has as brought me to further my credentials, becoming a Certified EFT Practitioner as well as a Certified Matrix Re-imprinting Practitioner. I have presented as an expert speaker on Anxiety at the Tapping World Summit.
A session with me will feel safe, supportive and nurturing. You will feel seen and known, you will feel heard and respected. Sessions can be fun and inspiring and sometimes they may feel challenging but cathartic. I draw upon my own wisdom, experience and expertise to provide parents, teenagers, and families with holistic counselling grounded in deep listening compassion, resiliency and self-empowerment.
Outside of the therapy space you will find me in nature as much as possible because that’s my zen place. All things health and wellbeing are my passion. I also enjoy listening to podcasts, working out, watching good movies, seeing live music, catching up with friends and hanging out with my own teenagers (when they think I’m cool enough)!
I’m into cooking and baking and sadly haven’t picked up a non-work related book for a while…I dream about living in the countryside with lots of animals and eating the food from my garden…I’m working on it.
I would love to customize a campervan so I can hit the road whenever I want. The book I am reading at the moment is all about creating healthy boundaries with others.
